MARTINSBURG — Ashley Negley collected her 100th career hit, and Dylan Claycomb had nine strikeouts to reach 300 for her career and set a new school record in a 13-3, six-inning win against Bellefonte in Mountain League high school softball action on Thursday.

Claycomb had three RBIs for the Lady Dragons, and Maddi Metzler and Tori Longenecker each had two RBIs.

CLAYSBURG — Emily Claar was 3-for-3 with three RBIs, and Olivia Bushore pitched a two-hit shutout for Claysburg-Kimmel in 4¢ innings against Moshannon Valley in Inter-County Conference play.

Harleigh Cavender, Haileigh Reed and Corryne Weyandt each drove in two runs for the Lady Bulldogs (10-2), who led 6-0 after two innings and scored four in the bottom of the fourth to force the mercy rule.

BELLWOOD — Despite having to dig out of a 5-0 hole from the get-go, Haley Schmidt went the distance for Bellwood-Antis to get the win in an Inter-County Conference game.

Faith Patton and Krystina Taylor were both 3-for-4 with three RBIs for the Lady Devils, who totaled 12 hits. Taylor also scored three runs.

WILLIAMSBURG — Sophomore Elizabeth Frederick pitched and batted Williamsburg to a victory over visiting Juniata Valley.

Frederick drove in five runs with three hits, including a homer, and pitched a four-hit complete game, striking out 15 batters.

Kaeyln Calderwood also doubled and drove in two runs for Williamsburg.

LOYSBURG — Brittany Ebersole had three hits and drove in a run, and Madison Johnson drove in two runs on two hits to help Northern Bedford (7-4) edge out McConnellsburg.

Sarah Heck got the win with two strikeouts for the Lady Panthers.

PHILIPSBURG — Bellefonte rode the four-hit shutout pitching of Alexis Rogers to a Mountain League shutout victory over Philipsburg-Osceola Tuesday night.

Sara Dehass had two hits and drove in two runs for Bellefonte, while Rogers also hit a solo home run.
