Central edged out by DuBois in four

H.S. volleyball

MARTINSBURG — Zach Gahagan had 13 service points and four kills in Central’s 22-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-20 loss to DuBois in high school boys volleyball action on Thursday.

Jordan Stump had eight kills in the loss for the Dragons, and Eli Lingenfelter had a team-high 12 assists.

Bearcats swept

HUNTINGDON — Andrew Cooper had four service points, but Huntingdon lost to unbeaten West Shamokin, 25-17, 25-19, 25-9.

Mtn. Lions lose

HARRISBURG — Altoona fell to 1-9 when it lost in straight sets to Central Dauphin East, 25-20, 25-12, 25-20.

Dalton Keller had eight kills and nine digs for the Mountain Lions, and Matt Furrer had a team-high 15 assists.

A.J. Thompson led Altoona with five service points.
