SPRING MILLS — Winning pitcher Cate Baran struck out seven, and Callie Maceno hit a two-run homer for Tyrone in a 4-1 win over Penns Valley in Mountain League high school softball action on Tuesday.

Ally Jones had three hits for Tyrone, and Victoria Reese drove in a run.

The contest was called short after 5¢ innings due to rain.
