Lehman tough for 3-0 Eagles

BELLWOOD — Brandon Lucas scored two runs for Tyrone in a 7-1 win over Bellwood-Antis in a game that was called early due to darkness Friday afternoon in high school baseball action.

Tyrone (3-0) got a strong performance from winning pitcher Cory Lehman, who gave up one run on five hits in five innings. He struck out three and walked only one. He also drove in a run to help his cause.

Andrew Pearson drove in a run for the Golden Eagles.

Bellwood-Antis (2-1), which made seven errors, got its lone run scored by John Kost.

BEDFORD — Ben Dombrowski’s two-run double highlighted Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic’s three-run seventh-inning rally that lifted the Marauders to a Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference victory over Bedford.

Dombrowski had four hits, including a double, and was also the winning pitcher for BG (1-1), while Michael McCall knocked in two runs and earned the save in relief.

Jesse Arnold, Jared Dowey and Mercury Swaim had two hits apiece for Bedford (1-1).
