IUP men beaten in Atlantic Region semifinals

INDIANA, Pa. — The Indiana University of Pennsylvania men’s basketball team fell in the NCAA Division II playoffs on Sunday night.

The Crimson Hawks fell to Mercyhurst, 85-75, in the semifinals of the Atlantic Region at the Kovalchick Complex.

Patrick Smith scored 20 points, and Jason Massey had 19 for Mercyhurst, which advanced to play West Liberty in the Atlantic Region final on Tuesday.

Dante Lombardi led IUP with 25 points, and Malik Miller scored 15.

IUP finished 30-3.
