Why I picked Saint Francis: “I chose SFU because they have strong academics and athletics. I like the family atmosphere of the campus and its closeness to home. I feel they have the coaching staff and athletes to be very competitive in their conference, and I want to be a part of that.”
Greatest high school achievement: “Placing at states in the triple jump my freshman, sophomore and junior years.”
Coach Phil Woo’s quote: “Maddie is one of the most talented athletes to ever graduate from BC. Her list of athletic and academic accomplishments is long and impressive. Everything she has accomplished has been a result of a good family upbringing, great physical talent, intelligence and an unbelievable work ethic. She sets the example by working hard, doing the little things to be successful with a team-first attitude, and by encouraging and mentoring her teammates. She will be successful in whatever field she chooses.”
How I got my start in track and field: “I started running and jumping in the Mountain Top League when I was 6 years old, and I have loved it since.”
