CC sweeps past Hollidaysburg

EBENSBURG — Jenna Bauer had 13 kills and 19 digs as Central Cambria swept Hollidaysburg, 25-11, 25-18, 25-21, in high school girls volleyball action on Thursday night.

Emily Muffie led the Lady Devils in digs with 23, Leah Bracken had 29 assists, Liz Bopp posted five blocks, and Ashley Grimes had three aces.

Hollidaysburg (8-5) was led by Claire Sauerland with 11 kills, Olivia Dipangrazio had 34 digs, and Reagan Ferguson registered 21 assists.

Central Cambria improved its mark to 15-2.

BG downs Bedford

BEDFORD — Rachel Resick had 10 service points and 10 kills to help lead Bishop Guilfoyle to a 25-11, 25-16, 25-13 win over Bedford.

Gabby Krug had 12 service points to go along with 34 assists for BG, while Rachel Meintel had 13 points and Mickie Smith 10. Daphne Stayer had six points, six kills and four blocks for Bedford.

Tyrone dominates

TYRONE — Tyrone improved its record to 10-4 with a 25-12, 25-13, 25-9 victory over Clearfield.

Ebonee Rice delivered 20 service points, including seven aces, and 10 digs, Mattie Cherry had 23 assists, Brianna Foy contributed 12 service points, including four aces, and seven kills, Makenna Bauer had seven kills, Kylee Gooding had six kills and five digs, and Courtney Williams added four kills and two blocks.

TYRONE: Rice 20, Foy 12, Cherry 4, Long 2, Umholtz 2, Johnston 1, Gooding 1.

B-A edges Valley

BELLWOOD — Bellwood-Antis won a marathon match over Juniata Valley, 21-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 20-18.

Sakeria Haralson had 18 blocks and 26 kills for Bellwood, while Hope Shook had 18 service points, 12 kills, nine digs and six blocks. Sydney Lechner had 44 assists and Bella Kies four aces.

Hayden Taylor had 17 points and 42 assists for Juniata Valley. Halee Smith had 15 points, 21 digs, four aces and 20 kills, and Emma Musser had 23 kills.

HOUTZDALE — Claysburg-Kimmel improved its record to 15-4 with a 25-22, 25-9, 25-14 win over Moshanon Valley.

Corryne Weyandt led the way with 17 service points, including three aces, and 15 assists. Megan Hartman had 10 kills and 11 service points, Justinna Brown delivered 12 kills, Harleigh Cavender had 13 assists, Bailey Garver had 16 digs, and Jocelyn Schultz added four blocks.

Lady Vikings fall

MORRISDALE — Glendale battled back from two sets down to force a fifth but wasn’t able to finish as the Lady Vikings fell at West Branch, 25-21, 25-21, 15-25, 27-29, 15-9, in Inter-County Conference action.

Olivia Reese led Glendale with 18 kills and 37 digs, while Katianne Rydbom posted 32 asists and had two digs. Olivia Spanik registered 13 service points for the Lady Vikings (7-10).

GLENDALE: Hamilton 2, Simmers 9, Reese 8, Wolfe 5, Spanik 13, Rydbom 9, LeMaster 7.

Everett triumphs

EVERETT — Everett knocked off Northern Bedford, 25-14, 25-11, 25-23.

Madison Johnson and Jenna Carberry chipped in with six service points apiece for Northern Bedford, and Johnston added four kills and nine assists.
