Timing everything for Shoppe

Medicine Shoppe scored three runs to get the lead in the fifth inning before rain moved into the region, forcing the game to an end with a 4-2 Medicine Shoppe victory over Barton’s Plumbing and Heating Tuesday night in a Greater City League game at Vets Field.

Fred Zigler recorded five strikeouts and got the win for Medicine Shoppe, which improved to 4-13. Jordan Klausman had two hits and an RBI for the winner, while teammate Devin Hoover added two hits.

Barton’s fell to 2-15.

n Derek Shaw and Dylan Broderick each had two RBIs for a Cumming Motors offense that scored four runs to take a lead in the top of the seventh inning, knocking off BMG Construction, 13-10.

Derek Cursio got the start and the win for Cumming Motors (7-6) with five strikeouts.

Ray Watt doubled and drove in three runs for BMG Construction.

Preston Bush got the win in a five-strikeout performance as Shirley’s improved to 11-7.

Wes McCall had two hits and drove in a run for PAB. Winning pitcher Steven Karageanes struck out nine and also drove in a run.

Barton’s got two hits and four RBIs from Cameron Geisler.

Winning pitcher Joe Bukosky struck out six and also got three hits to help McMullen Furniture beat CoBRH’S, 10-4, in the late Altoona Teener League 13-year-old game at Seitz Field Monday night.

The winners also got three hits and an RBI from Jacob Hammel, along with two RBIs each from Jack Ankeny, Brady Hibbs and John Zernick.

Nico Burns had three hits and an RBI for CoBRH’S.
