Red Flash men roughed up in Texas
FORT WORTH, Texas — The Saint Francis men’s basketball team dropped to 0-2 Thursday night, losing at TCU, 104-63, in collegiate action.
The Red Flash,who lost at Oklahoma earlier this week, got 18 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals fro Skylar Wicks, who scored 20 in the loss to the Sooners. Teammate Cam Tweedy added 14 points.
After Wicks tied the game at 11-11 early, the Horned Frogs closed the half on a 42-18 run to take the lead it would not relinquish.
Saint Francis used an 11-6 run to tie the game at 11. Gestin Liberis got the Red Flash on the scoreboard with a layup at 18:11. After a Horned Frog basket, Zion Russell and Brandon Russell each scored in the lane to make it a one-point game. Tweedy had a basket sandwiched in between two TCU baskets before Wicks tied the game at 11 on a trey with 13:34 left in the first half.
The Horned Frogs got 25 points fro Tanner Toolson.
Saint Francis returns home to host Mount St. Mary’s on Tuesday inside the DeGol Arena. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

No. 3 Florida runs past NFU
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Alex Condon had 25 points and 10 rebounds, Micah Handlogten notched his second double-double in as many games and No. 3 Florida bounced back from a season-opening loss with a 104-64 drubbing of North Florida.
It was so lopsided that 7-foot-9 walk-on Olivier Rioux, the world’s tallest teenager, made his collegiate debut for the Gators. Coming off a five-point loss to 13th-ranked Arizona in Las Vegas, the Gators unveiled their national championship banner during pregame introductions.
No. 23 Cyclones win big
AMES, Iowa — Joshua Jefferson scored 20 points to lead six Iowa State players in double figures and the No. 23 Cyclones defeated Grambling 102-62.
Jefferson shot 8 of 10 from the field and had eight rebounds, three assists and a blocked shot as the Cyclones won their 36th straight nonconference game at Hilton Coliseum. Milan Momcilovic, Killyan Toure and Jamarion Batemon scored 11 points apiece and Dominick Nelson and Tamin Lipsey had 10 points each. Lipsey also had four rebounds and six assists and he made five steals for a second straight game.
Hall sparks No. 20 Tigers
AUBURN, Ala. — Keyshawn Hall scored 25 points to lead No. 20 Auburn to a 95-57 win over Merrimack.
Hall also had 14 rebounds for his first double-double with the Tigers. The 6-foot-7 UCF transfer has been the leading scorer for the Tigers in both games; he had 28 points in Monday’s season opener, a 95-90 overtime victory at home against Bethune-Cookman in Steven Pearl’s coaching debut.
