Name: Terri Henshaw Kelley
Age: 50
Residence: Altoona
High school: Bishop Guilfoyle class of 1986
College: Slippery Rock
My favorite sport: Football
I usually attend games with: My kids, Aidan and Mackenzie, if they aren’t participating in the sport
Favorite high school team: Altoona
Favorite college team: Penn State
Favorite pro team: Steelers
My favorite sports memory: The look of pride on my daughter Mackenzie’s face when she crossed the finish line at the District 6 Cross Country race when she realized she qualified for states.
The local athlete I’ve most enjoyed watching while growing up: Mike Iuzzolino
My all-time favorite local coach: Joe Landolfi
The most famous athlete I ever met: Troy Polamalu
My most prized autograph or picture is of: A baseball picture of my son Aidan, at age 6, at bat for his very first game baseball game. The look of concentration and innocence is priceless.
If I have a claim to fame as a fan, it would be: My camera is always in hand, to get that perfect shot and capture every moment.
IF I WERE THE BOSS OF LOCAL SPORTS, THE ONE RULE I WOULD ENFORCE WOULD BE: Enjoy your youth and enjoy the sport. Learn from each practice, each game, each player you cross paths with and each coach you have. Take from all of those experiences, good and bad, and become the athlete you want to be.
