Mountain League teams named

H.S. Softball

There were 15 baseball players and nine softball players from the Mirror coverage area for 2019 that were named to the Mountain League All-Star squads.

Tyrone’s Corey Lehman (catcher) and Brandon Lucas (designated hitter) made the baseball first team along with Central’s Paxton Kling (short stop). Also making the first team were Philipsburg-Osceola’s Ryan Whitehead (pitcher) and Keegan Soltis (third base).

On the second team, Tyrone had five players qualify in Rodney Shultz (pitcher), Matthew Savino (short stop), Kevin Lehner (third base) and Andrew Pearson (outfield).

Central had three players on the second team in Hunter Klotz (catcher) and Noah Muthler (second base), while Huntingdon’s Rece Ritchey (pitcher, outfield) and Draven Zook were also named.

In softball, Central’s Cameryn Feathers (catcher) and Philipsburg-Osceola’s Kam Harris (designated player-pitcher) were named to the Mountain League first team.

Tyrone and Central each had two players on the second team. Ella Pearson (second base) and Maci Brodzina (short stop) represent the Lady Eagles while the Lady Dragons Tori Longencher (third base) and Dylan Claycomb (designated player) also got nods.
