Chambers leading strong finish
I know there was a lot of heat for Penn State to get rid of men’s basketball coach Pat Chambers.
But consider recent events with six victories in the last nine games, including four of the last five going into today’s regular-season finale against Illinois.
After starting out 0-10 in the Big Ten, Penn State could finish with seven wins in its last 10 games. I think Chambers has this young team believing in the system.
If Lamar Stevens, Jamari Wheeler and the big guy, Mike Watkins, stay around to the end, and with some strong recruiting of the 2020 class, my feeling is let Chambers finish out his contract (2021-22) and see what happens.

Out-of-state writer has vested interest
In reference to Bruce Tague’s article last week (“Reasons to end Sunday hunting ban”) on Sunday hunting:
Why did you give voice on a Pennsylvania issue to an out-of-stater?
Tague should keep his ideas and money in Ohio. The taxpayers and land owners in Pennsylvania should be the only voice on this issue.
I am opposed to any Sunday hunting and consider it unfair for a newspaper to allow an out-of-state big money group to express an opinion either way.
