Lady Lions celebrate senior day victory
Altoona celebrated its senior day with a 6-3 victory over DuBois in high school girls tennis action at Penn State Altoona on Friday.
Alese Rinker, Emma Skelley, Eve Hogan, Zoe Wilson, Isabella Frank and Emily Neil earned singles wins for the Lady Lions, who improved to 8-4.
Seniors honored were Wilson, Olivia Hudson, Allie Sprankle and Elaina Waksmonski.

BCC boys cruise
MOUNT UNION — Hudson Dull and Jonathan Hight each scored once in both halves, and Davis Dull totaled three asssists and scored once as Blair County Christian shut out Mount Union, 6-0, in high school boys soccer action.
In addition to combining with Landen Barnes for a one-save shutout in net for the Bobcats, Ethan Carn scored the final goal of the game in the second half on a penalty kick at 71:46.

GC boys triumph
VINTONDALE — Josh Stuart scored twice for Great Commission, and the Bears scored six goals in the first half to power a 7-1 win over Cambria County Christian in boys soccer.
Great Commission goalkeeper Owen Hildebrand had the first-half shutout for the Bears before coming into to play and scoring a goal early in the second half.

Lady Dragons prevail
MARTISBURG — Hannah Lingenfelter had 11 kills and Brinley Bowers registered 28 assists for Central in a 25-22, 20-25, 25-18, 25-12 win over Clearfield Thursday night in Mountain League high school volleyball action.
Rachel McCready, Kiera Berkheimer and Bowers each had three aces for the Lady Dragons.
