P-O gets 3 all-state first-teamers

Philipsburg-Osceola, the PIAA Class 3A high school softball champions, landed three players on the first team of the Pennsylvania High School Softball Coaches Association’s All-State Class 3A Softball Team and a fourth on the second team.

Kylie Thal (catcher), Maddie Lucas (outfield) and Kam Harris (DH/DP/UTL) were first team all-state. Shortstop Hannah Thompson made the second team.

Central was also well represented on the Class 3A team.

Sophomore Cameryn Feathers was named as a first-team catcher, while Lady Dragons Ashley Negley (outfield) and Dylan Claycomb (DH/DP/UTL) made the second team.

Everett was represented by Sydney Reffner, a first-teamer at shortstop, and second-team outfielder Brooke Colledge.

Cambria Heights’ Charlotte Farabaugh rounded out the 3A players from the Mirror’s coverage area, making the first team at first base.

In Class 2A, Northern Bedford senior Kaity Corle was picked for the first team at third base.

Claysburg-Kimmel, which made it all the way to the PIAA Class 1A semifinals, was also well represented.

The Lady Bulldogs got Madison Knisley (first base), Emily Claar (shortstop) and Mikalynn Bauman (outfield) on the first team in Class 1A. C-K freshman Haileigh Reed made the second team at third base.

Glendale’s Lexi Mulhollen joined her Inter-County Conference rivals on the first team as a DH/DP/UTL. Fellow Lady Vikings Makenzie Lukehart (outfield) and Olivia Reese (second base) made the second team.

Moshannon Valley was also represented on the Class 1A team by outfielder Sidney Lewis, who made the second team.
