Stevenson clutch for Tigers

HOLLIDAYSBURG — Collin Stevenson’s RBI single scored John Servello in walk-off fashion, as Hollidaysburg edged Mount Union, 8-7, in eight innings Tuesday afternoon in high school baseball action.

Lennox Pugh had a double and drove in three runs for the Tigers (16-1), and Cory Storm picked up the win on the mound.

Phillip Dull pitched five hitless and scoreless innings for the Lions, who improved to 10-6. Ty Diehl picked up the win in relief.

Cody Lohr had a double and a base hit for Chestnut Ridge while McCoy had two RBIs.

WILLOW HILL — Andrew Foor and and Jaden Fernandez combined for a four-hitter to help Northern Bedford rally for a win over Fannet-Metal.

Down 2-0 in the top of the fourth, Northern got an RBI single from Carter Replogle, who drove in Jake Cherry to put the Panthers on the board. That was followed by a Garrett Clouse RBI single in the fifth, and two-run RBI singles from Replogle and Jacob Dasher in the seventh.

Teener League

Gauge Frank had a hit, two RBIs and was the winning pitcher as the Altoona Lions beat Shag, 13-9, at Seitz Field in an Altoona Teener Minor League 14-year-old game.

It was the first win of the year for the Lions. Dylan Hayford had two hits, including a triple, for Shag.
