The Family Resource Center at the United Way of Blair County is conducting its sixth annual "Stuff the Bus" school supply campaign.
School supplies collected will benefit students in Blair County school districts and early learning programs.
Stuff the Bus is a communitywide effort to collect items needed for students to succeed in school. Local businesses, agencies, clubs and churches conduct in-house collections by their employees or members or act as donation sites for the community.
Last year, Blair County helped 754 preschool- and school-age children who otherwise may not have been able to afford materials go to school with the items to succeed.
Donations of supplies will be accepted through July 30. On July 31, volunteers from the Family Resource Center and United Way will pick up items at the various locations. Volunteers will sort the items for distribution and the distribution will be on Aug. 7 at the United Way. Parents and area agencies may register children by calling Denise Adams at 944-0884, ext. 304.
An appointment is necessary to receive supplies.
