Since shortly after the sale of Keith Junior High School, I have been pleading to have the school athletic complex turned into a park for the citizens to have a beautiful location to take their families and enjoy the many amenities that this historic location offers.
There is history here that will never be replaced: The memories of our young people meeting here to play sports, practice bands, plus little children sled-riding in the winter and romping in the green grass in summer.
It is here and available for all the people.
It was bought and paid for by our hardworking men and women and now, it should be returned to them, not sold to a land developer who would develop it for profit.
We would lose a historic site, never to be duplicated.
