Diffie to play Indiana show
INDIANA - The Indiana County Fraternal Order of Police Rhododendron Lodge No. 33 will present its 39th Annual Country Music Show on July 28. This year, the show will be headlined by Joe Diffie and Little Texas, with opening act North of Mason Dixon, performing two shows, at 1 and 6 p.m. at Mack Park (the Indiana County Fairgrounds).
Diffie was a country music superstar in the 1990s, racking up 17 Top 10 country hits through 2001 - including five No. 1 singles. Diffie's hits included "Third Rock from the Sun," "Pickup Man" and "Bigger Than the Beatles."
Little Texas also found success in the 1990s, hitting No. 1 with the 1994 song "My Love" and charting seven other Top 10 singles.
Tickets are $22.50 in advance by calling 724-349-9114. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate for $25. Proceeds benefit the FOP.
Siblings get new exhibit
UNIVERSITY PARK - The HUB-Robeson Galleries will showcase photographs by Abby and Jeremy Drey Thursday through Sept. 4 in the HUB-Robeson Center's Art Alley.
The sibling photographers will be displaying 24 prints together.
Abby, a 2010 Penn State graduate and staff photographer for the Centre Daily Times, enjoys creating images that are "completely different from [her] photojournalism work."
Abby's 12 color photographs being displayed in Art Alley were captured over the last several years at various locations.
Jeremy, a 2006 Penn State graduate and staff photographer for the Reading Eagle, will be displaying a collection 12 photographs captured on traditional black and white film.
The exhibition is free and open to the public.
