Ronald Daniel Martino, 76, Leesburg, Va., passed away Wednesday.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Marion E. and Mary Madeline (Labriola) Martino.
Ronald leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 51 years, Patricia Ann; two daughters: Jacqueline Ann Martino of Pittsburgh and Cynthia Lee Fontaine and husband, David Roland, of Washington, D.C.; and three grandchildren: Michael David, Gianluca David and Antonio David Fontaine.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Ronald, in 1984.
Ronald served his country in the U.S. Army and National Guard. He was a graduate of Penn State University, where he received his B.A. in journalism. He worked with Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals as a sales director for 43 years.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, Va. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2013, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 55 Oak Crest Manor Drive, Leesburg, Va.
An entombment service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Calvary Cemetery Columbarium, 2417 Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ronald's memory to the David R. Martino Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o the Office of Planned Giving at The Pennsylvania State University, One Old Main, University Park, PA 16802-1502.
