JOHNSTOWN The American Heart Association, Cambria division announced that it will hold its signature fundraiser, the Heart Ball, on Feb. 16 at the Sunnehanna Country Club. The Heart Ball Committee for this elegant event is tasked with helping to organize and raise dollars to support heart and stroke medical research, as well as pubic and professional education programs. Research funded by the American Heart Association has yielded important discoveries such as CPR, life-extending drugs, pacemakers, bypass surgery, surgical techniques to repair heart defects and more.
Marty Radonovic, WJAC TV news anchor, will serve as emcee and will be honored this year as the 2013 Heart Hero.
