Dr. Mike Shiver’s letter of Nov. 13 makes some pretty interesting claims.

He states we voted to place control of the entire Federal Government in the hands of one man. That is simply untrue.

It is true that two of the three branches are controlled by Republicans, but by a slim margin, and yes the judiciary has a majority appointed by republicans; however, these appointees have shown they can go either way. He worries about oversight and accountability.

As a former Army Officer and MD I am sure Shriver is well versed in civics. The checks and balances are in the three branches of government itself as designed by our nation’s founders.

To discuss unlawful military orders is merely a Democrat talking point. The press he claims who is praising Trump is the same press who for over eight years have in unison spread untold lies to the American public and tried to destroy Trump’s character, finances and his physical person by the labels they placed on him.

It is time for Democrats to get over their hatred for Trump and listen to what the man actually wants to do. We the majority of voters are tired of the lies of the press, open borders, unlawful prosecutions by rogue DAs who campaigned to get Trump, endless wars, the deep state of government and other issues. That is why Trump won a decisive victory.
