Trump unpopular as he didn’t fit mold

Why do they hate Trump?

I have been voting for presidents since voting for Richard Nixon in 1972, and I have never seen hatred for a president – sitting or former – displayed like the hatred of President Trump.

One of the reasons for hatred of Donald Trump is the fact that the first elected position he held was president of the United States.

Democrats and “Never Trumpers” believe a person should “climb the ladder” by election of lower offices and then moving up.

Trump went right for the top position and won.

Trump is not a politician. He is a businessman, and his approach to governing the country was as a businessman.

He wasn’t consumed by the thoughts of re-election and salary. In fact, he donated his salary ($400,000 per year) to charities. It is now said that Trump’s net worth has been cut in half since serving as president.

Most politicians are concerned with getting re-elected and maintaining their position of power. The longer they serve, the more power they wield.

Another reason that Trump is hated is the fact that he delivered on his promises. He did what he said he would do. When was the last time we had a president that did that?

Some people believe that Trump does not have the morality required to serve as president. We did not vote for a pastor of a church but for a president of the United States.

How many in Washington, D.C. are upright moral characters?

We now have a new president who governs through “executive orders.”

This is like the rule of a totalitarian dictator or monarch. These acts make Congress irrelevant. These acts are not constitutional. Gone are the checks and balances built into the constitution by the founders of this country.

Why isn’t Congress pointing this out?

The constitution is the “supreme law of the land,” and cannot be just tossed aside.

It seems that if President Trump was for something, the current administration is against it and will undo it.

Is the new administration looking for unity or uniformity?
