Joyce helped sustain election falsehood

Regardless of one’s party affiliation or philosophical leaning, one thing we must all agree on is that seditious and treasonous acts cannot be allowed to inhabit any branch of government at any level.

For the better part of two months, more than a dozen members of the U.S. Senate and 140 members of the U.S. House of Representatives signed on to and promoted an outrageous falsehood.

This lie — that the 2020 election was “rigged” — was utterly without merit. Don’t take my word for it; courts across our nation struck down more than 50 challenges to the final election results.

Despite this, some GOP senators and members of Congress still embraced this big lie and therefore were knowingly participating in a seditious and treasonous conspiracy when they showed up at the Capitol on Jan. 6 with the intent to further promote this lie.

One of these seditionists was none other than our own Congressman, John Joyce.

In doing so, Joyce violated his oath which in part states that he will support and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Because of his complicity in the insurrection, we, his constituents in the 13th Congressional District, must insist that he resign.
