During troubled times, here’s act of kindness

I recently chose to go through the McDonald’s drive-thru for lunch.

My bill was $5.38. As I pulled up to pay, the clerk said the man in front of me paid my bill. I did not know these people and as I proceeded through the line, his car was gone.

My heart hurt for moment as I could not believe someone was kind enough to pay my bill.

It is hard to believe there are people who actually think of the other person. With our society on lockdown because of COVID-19, mental health issues on the increase and our friends dying much to soon — along with loss of jobs, schools closed and transportation for holidays limited — this small incident did not go unnoticed.

It sure brightened my day.

This kind deed did not go unnoticed, and I have told many people already.

That kind soul did not know me, and I did not know him, but his act of kindness touched me.
