Doctor leaves mark on our community
I was saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Bill Kirsch.
He was a pathology physician, with whom I worked closely over many years.
He was an excellent physician who was always available and helpful and genuinely cared about his patients.
Kirsch served this area for decades and was devoted to his patients and his community.
He evolved with the changing landscape but never abandoned his core values. He was a talented storyteller with numerous tales of his early training at Georgetown Medical School through decades of clinical practice.
He truly was a window into medical history, as well as a genuinely decent and good natured individual.
He was also a devoted husband to his wife, June, and father to many children and faithful member of the Catholic Church.
I’ll miss Bill Kirsch a lot, and his contribution to our community will greatly missed also.
