Americans can’t be pawns in relief effort

President Donald Trump has effectively fooled the media into thinking he actually sides with Democrats on $2,000 stimulus checks.

Make no mistake, his theatrics are only granting David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler the opportunity to say they support larger checks for the American people when not even two weeks ago they did not support any relief for our citizens, even going as far as ridiculing their opponents, Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, for such “radical liberal ideas.”

It has also gifted Mitch McConnell with the ability to twist the legislative agenda of the Democrats and use it against them to cling to the Senate majority.

McConnell will attempt to add the $2,000 checks into a bill that strips Section 230 and establish a voter fraud commission, which Democrats do not agree with.

His ill-attempt to strong arm the Democrats into passing legislation (or failing to pass so he can pin blame them) is completely unacceptable.

Relief for millions of Americans is not a pawn to be played with.

The American people are smart enough to realize his game and will hold McConnell and his party accountable for this atrocity.

As a result, his plan will backfire when not only the legislation fails to receive a formal vote but when the Democrats also reclaim the Senate.

It’s time the media reports this correctly.
