Finding comfort in difficult times

In 1863, during the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln; “To ease the burden of a suffering nation,” asked that “the last Thursday of November be observed and set aside as a day of thanks-giving, and praise to our beneficent father, who dwells in heaven.” (Lincoln’s Words).

Shouldn’t we now, in order to ease our own suffering, each of us, set aside a few moments each day to thank God for such blessings as we have?

For, in doing so, we feel his presence. We feel his presence and find comfort. Especially during these difficult times, we need to be comforted period.
