Local legislators need to push testing

Our three masters of complaint, petition and posturing have not yet attempted to make Blair safe for reopening.

State Sen. Judy Ward, R-Blair, Rep. Jim Gregory, R-Hollidaysburg, and Rep. Lou Schmitt, R-Blair, have not mentioned the need for expanded testing and contact tracing.

According to the Mirror, the county has only tested 1,292 people and as yet there is no program to contact trace, except for the one that the governor is putting together for Blair and other counties.

Blair has met all the other criteria for going to the yellow status except for the two mentioned above.

When businesses begin to open in Blair it will be due to the efforts of Gov. Tom Wolf and Department of Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine.

No credit should be given to any elected official who says they represent the interests of the people or businesses in Blair and make no real effort to insure the safety of the people
