Inmates’ assistance at cemetery appreciated
Recently some of the members of our church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, helped in doing some upkeep at the Oakridge Cemetery.
When we arrived, already working at the cemetery was a work crew of inmates from the Blair County Prison. We worked side by side with them. They have done yeoman’s work at the cemetery.
I would like to thank them and the Blair County commissioners for approving their efforts. It benefits not only our county but also the inmates.
In addition I would encourage other congregations to volunteer at the cemetery. We all had a great experience.
