Hearing shows Congress needs more women

There was a great opinion letter in the Sept. 20 Mirror by Paulette Jo Frederick about Judge Brent Kavanaugh’s bid for the Supreme Court.

It was thought-provoking, and I agree 100 percent with it. And to know Chairman Grassley expected Kavanaugh’s accuser to sit before a panel of all white males who have already made up their minds that she is lying is as telling as it gets.

This white, good old boy, male-dominated political arena we have been trapped in for so many years has got to go.

Come Election Day, please vote for every female on the Democratic ballot. It’s time to put more women in Washington, more women in the power seats.

So let’s try to make things right and prove once and for all that women are as capable as men, if not more so, when it comes to running this country.
