Kaepernick should add voice to Chicago tragedy

The weekend of Aug. 4, 2018, at least 66 people were shot in Chicago, killing 12.

My question is, where is Colin Kaepernick and his merry band of wealthy NFL protesting players who chose to take a knee during the national anthem, protesting because of what they call “racial injustice” to raise awareness and to effectuate change for black people and people of color.

Kaepernick said he took a knee because he sees things happening to people who don’t have a voice, people who don’t have a platform to make their voices heard.

If Kaepernick is someone of action and not an all-talk protester, he and his band should do what they are preaching and help these people in Chicago.

Where are you, Kaepernick? Chicago needs you.
