Love of country is part of faith
I would like to congratulate the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, founded by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, the Promised Messiah and Mahdi, more than 120 years ago, on a successful three-day annual convention (Jalsa Salana).
It was the 70th convention and indeed an extraordinary event where thousands of people, be it Christians, Jews, Muslims or other religions, came together to spread the message of peace.
I request that we should appreciate Muslims on organizing a huge gathering, which concluded peacefully. Today, when radicalized Muslims are a threat to our society, we must appreciate that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community practically demonstrates the true teachings of Islam, that is, “love of country is part of faith,” which is a fundamental teaching of all religions.
Let’s all unite together because we know that today what we need the most is humanity.
