Bedford should protest deal with Higgins

It’s time for the fine citizens of Bedford to take up arms and go to the courthouse.

William Higgins, the former district attorney of Bedford County, pleads guilty to 31 misdemeanors and bargains his way out of any jail time.

What is wrong with this picture? Higgins doesn’t want to go to jail. Who does?

Higgins should be made to pay for his crimes. He is pond scum and should be treated as such.

He used his authority as the DA of Bedford County to attain sexual favors from female drug dealers in exchange for lesser sentences.

How is it possible that he gets zero jail time when the maximum sentence could have been 62 years?

It’s time for the citizens of Bedford to make an example of Higgins and whoever is supporting him.
