On May 15, I will be voting for Art Halvorson for Congress and for Sharon Bream for state representative.

Halvorson has served in the U.S. Coast Guard for more than 30 years and even as a rescue helicopter pilot. The past six years, he has been a tireless promoter of reform in our federal government, and he promises to rein in the excesses of the tax, spend and borrow crowd of both major political parties.

Bream is a lifelong resident of the 79th District and has served since 2011 on the Altoona Area School Board. Hers has been the best pro-taxpayer voice of any elected official in Blair County.

We know if we send her to Harrisburg that she will not sell us out to special interests or party politics. Bream and Halvorson have genuine conservative credentials worthy of our support.
