Prospect must enforce ordinance on dogs
I am a coach in the Altoona Area Little League.
Since the weather is improving, we have been practicing in the Prospect ballfield.
Apparently, we have no dog law enforcement in Altoona because both times we were assigned to practice at Prospect, the coaches must collect bags of dog feces from the outfield.
l’m sure no parents want their children stepping or falling in this mess. I’ve been told this problem has been reported to the dog law officer with no results.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t people required to pick up after their dogs?
Judging from the amount of feces on the field, it shouldn’t be too hard to enforce this ordinance.
And to the dog owners who have little consideration for our kids, clean up after your pets.
