It’s important to hold Shuster accountable

As a member of the non-partisan group Indivisible Blair County, I would like to acknowledge all of those who participated in the rally outside Congressman Bill Shuster’s office.

I also would like to thank the Mirror and local news agencies for objective reporting.

I believe it is our civic duty to keep Shuster accountable for his actions.

He needs to be accessible to hear the concerns of the people in his district.

We all need to be reassured that his loyalties lie with his constituents and not with corporations, lobbyists and party politics.

Shuster should know that we will continue to request face-to-face discussion when Congress is at recess for the rest of his current term.

Also, where was he on Tuesday?
