Betty L. Bickford

Betty L. Bickford, 90, of Flinton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday at her residence. She was born in Colver, a daughter of the late Ruben P. and Catherine C. (Ball) Bush. On Dec. 3, 1953, in Conemaugh, she married Paul M. Bickford, her beloved husband of 72 years, who survives. Bernice C. Hoover, 81, Altoona, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Portage, daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Kratzen) Beres. She married Bernard T. “Bernie” Hoover in Altoona on Oct. 12, 1985. He preceded her in death. Surviving are two stepsons, Greg (Karen) and Bill Hoover; three sisters: Mildred Vaughn, Cathy Ceirzega and Patty Beres; and her nephew, Robert Beres. Rand T. Killian passed away quietly on Aug. 15, 2026, at his home in Hollidaysburg after a four-year battle with cancer. He was 68 years old. Rand was born in Harrisburg, son of the late Huston Killian and Dorothea Bunn Killian. He is survived by three brothers: Huston Killian and wife, Jennifer, of Marysville; Scott Killian and his husband, Ron, of North Bergen, N.J.; and Douglas Killian and his wife, Judith, of Dauphin; and numerous nephews and nieces.
