Robert L. Keefer

He was united in marriage to the former Sally (Ellenberger) Keefer. She preceded him in death on Aug. 14, 2025.

Robert is survived by children: Denise Maselli and husband, John; Connie Lantz and husband, Robert; Kevin Keefer and partner, Brian Chubb; and Lonna Chamblee and husband, Steven; sisters: Brenda Buck, Barbara Easterday and Beverly Baughman; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless loving friends.

Along with his wife and parents, Robert was preceded in death by his son, Shawn Keefer; granddaughter, Shannon Duffey; and grandson, Ryan Duffey.

Robert was a graduate of Tyrone High School, Class of 1965.

After graduating, he went on to serve in The United States Army during the Vietnam War. After the service, he went on to work as a driver and salesman for Stroehmann Bakery for 29 years until his retirement.

Robert enjoyed golfing and watching Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State football and could never pass up a trip to the casino to play poker.

He was a life member of the VFW post no. 8724 and the 11th Armored Cavalry Association.

Robert was of the Lutheran faith.

Friends and family will be received from 10 until the service at noon Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona, with Pastor Jim Neatrour officiating.

Burial will take place after the funeral service at Alto-Reste Park, Altoona, with Military Honors provided by The Blair County Veterans Honor Guard.
