Thelma Catherine (McConahy) Sollenberger

Thelma C. Sollenberger, 99, a resident of The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg, formerly of Curryville, passed peacefully early Saturday morning at the home.
She was born in rural Williamsburg, daughter of the late Marion W. and A. Evaline (Showalter) McConahy. On March 29, 1946, she married Jacob H. Sollenberger in rural Williamsburg. He preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1994, after 47 years of marriage.
Surviving are five children: Audrey Keith (Roger) of rural Martinsburg, Ken Sollenberger (Linda) of Spring Hope Villas, Joan Brooks (Andrew) of rural Hollidaysburg, Donna Lindsey (Roger) of Duncansville and Sandra Reffner (Robert) of New Enterprise; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; six sisters: Cleo Imler, Anna Grace Bookhammer, Laura Fay, Mabel Sell, Pearl Schiappa and Janet Kipe; and a brother, Donald McConahy.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Sollenberger; a grandson, Jared Lindsey; five sisters: Berna Dilling, Dorothy Kensinger, Mary Smith Baker, Naomi Over and Ruth McConahy; three brothers: John, Clarence and George McConahy; and a daughter-in-law, Karen Sollenberger.
Thelma was a longtime member of Curryville Church of the Brethren. She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She also liked gardening, canning, cutting the grass and making the most delicious pies.
Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, at Curryville Church of the Brethren, where a funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the church, with Mrs. Linda Sollenberger officiating. Private interment will be held at Shellytown-Fairview Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
