Joshua R. Holsinger, 45, of Roaring Spring, died unexpectedly Thursday morning in the Emergency Department of Cone­maugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring, after an apparent heart attack. He was born in Altoona, the son of Terry R. and Kathy L. (Young) Holsinger.

He is survived by his parents; three sons: James R. Holsinger and wife, Shaylee; Eli C. Holsinger; and Hunter J. Holsinger; three grandchildren: Rowan, CJ and Rhett; a sister, Amanda Willey and husband, Thad, all of Roaring Spring; a special cousin, Ben Hoenstine of East Freedom; a nephew, Dean; and two nieces, Desiree and Elizabeth; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Josh had been a member of Christ Church, Roaring Spring.

He was a 1997 graduate of Central High School and had also attended the Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center.

He was currently employed at the Sheetz Distribution Center, Claysburg, and had previously been employed at Frederick’s Meat Market, Roaring Spring.

Josh enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the cabin in Tioga County with his boys and spending time with his grandkids.

He had been a member of the NRA, the Boy Scouts of America and the Martinsburg VFW.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the 1p.m. memorial service Monday, Dec. 16, 2024, in Christ Church, with the Rev. Joel Kletzing officiating.
