Scott S. Steele, 60, Altoona, passed away Saturday at Maple Heights Health and Rehab Center, Ebensburg. He was born in Altoona, the son of John Steele and the late Lynda (Varner) Steele.
He is survived by his father, John, and stepmother, Linda, of Altoona; a daughter, Sarah Steele (Shub) of Wrightsville; a granddaughter, Ophelia; and sister, Raylene Vahey (Jeff) of Altoona; his nieces: Breanna Goodman (Randy), Mackenzie, Savanna and Emily; great-niece, Elena Goodman; and sister-in-law, Ann Steele.
Scott was preceded in death by his brothers, John Jr. and William Steele.
He was a graduate of Altoona Area High School and attended Penn State University. Scott previously worked for Mr. Donut.
Scott enjoyed ’80s music, going to concerts, cooking and baking, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and building model rockets.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. in the Stevens Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tom Kurtz.
Interment will be held at Grandview Cemetery.
