Paul Lester Breon Jr., 87, Hollidaysburg, passed away Wednesday afternoon at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home after a brief illness. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Paul Lester and Bernice (Daughenbaugh) Breon Sr.
Paul is survived by his son, Dennis A. Breon (Jennifer) of Hollidaysburg; and a daughter, Diane M. Progl (Doug) of New Alexandria; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Marlene Eakins and June Lucille Pine, both of Altoona.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Ann Lakner.
Paul was a 1957 graduate of Altoona High School and served our country in the U.S. Air Force from 1957-63.
Paul was a member of the Riggles Gap Sportsman’s Club and enjoyed collecting and shooting guns. He was also an animal lover, especially dogs.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. A funeral service will immediately follow at 5 p.m. in the Stevens Memorial Chapel, officiated by Hollidaysburg Veterans Home Chaplain, Pastor David Miller. Interment will be held at Eagle Cemetery, Howard, Pa.
