David Elliot Christy

He is survived by his partner of 18 years, Maureen Adams Doran; children: Jimmy Christy, Jayme Weitzel and Jordan Adams; siblings, Deborah Smith (Ernie) and Diane Granville of Duncansville; a nephew, Douglas Smith; nieces, Dawn Christy and Dana Smith; and several other nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Christy; and a niece, Darcy Smith.

David spent his working years at various jobs. He spent time working at the Blair Chalet, where he cooked and did maintenance. He also enjoyed working on automobiles and racing.

He was a member of the Concordia in Altoona, and, in his younger years, was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Gallitzin.

Per David’s request, there will be no public services.

Burial will be held privately at Blair Memorial Cemetery.

If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made in memory of David to The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona, to help defray the cost of final expenses.
