James ‘Butch’ Clossin Jr.

James “Butch” Clossin Jr., 63, of Palm Springs, Calif., formerly of Gallitzin, died Aug. 7, 2022, in New Mexico. He was born in Altoona, the son of James Sr. and Sara (Harker) Clossin. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Joseph Lidwell.
Surviving are his husband, Ryan Tinn; parents; sisters and brothers, Lynne Lidwell, Peggy (Chuck) Templon, Thomas (Arla) Clossin and Lisa (Joel) Vinglas; sister-in-law, Karen Tinn; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He worked as the Financial Aide Director for UPMC Hospital. Butch was a 1977 graduate of Penn Cambria High School.
He collected antique Christmas ornaments, enjoyed doing crafts and sang in the church choir. He also participated in shows at the Cresson Lake Playhouse and the Madrigals at Mount Aloysius College.
