Mildred P. Krug
March 20, 1932 – July 4, 2022
Mildred P. Krug, 90, Loretto, died Monday at UPMC Altoona, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Spangler, daughter of the late Rupert and Louella (Miller) Kline.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, on Dec. 5, 2016; sisters: Rita Singer, Mary Lou Kirk, Betty Ann Karlheim and Marlene Conrad; and a brother, Don.
Surviving are children: Cathy Krug, Michael, Lorraine Bucynski (David), Carolyn (John) Galleher, Lisa Krug, Brenda (Denny) Reinhart and Kimberly (David) Fogle; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; former sons-in-law, John Bucynski and Shawn Johnson; former daughter-in-law, Marsha Krug; brother, William (Loretta); and sister, Evelyn (Don) Yahner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mildred enjoyed bingo, playing cards and watching the Golden Girls on television. Along with her husband, Carl, she had owned and operated The Countryside Kitchen in Belsano for many years.
She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Cresson.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2022, at Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, where a Vigil Service will be held.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Cresson, with the Rev. Leo Arnone as celebrant. Committal at Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the local Alzheimer’s Association in Mildred’s memory.
