James D. McFadden

Nov. 10, 1938 – May 30, 2022

James D. McFadden, 83, of Flinton, passed away Monday at Altoona Center for Nursing Care. He was born in Trenton, N.J., a son of the late Mark and Alice (Carson) McFadden.

James was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Lou Tamnagni.

Surviving are his wife, Judy (Wyckoff) McFadden, whom he married Sept. 5, 1959; sons: Michael M. (JoAnn) McFadden of Grapeville, Mathew M. McFadden of Flinton and Mitchell M. (Debbie) McFadden of West Elizabeth; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Jim was a 1959 graduate of Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades. He served in the Marine Corps Reserves.

Jim was a field engineer for Bailey Controls Co. in Cleveland, Ohio for 40 years.

He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Patton.

Jim was Past Master of the Chester Masonic Lodge 236, Past Master of Coalport Lodge 574, Member of the Jaffa Shrine and Highlander Bagpipes. He enjoyed wood carving, model airplanes and RC Plane Pilot. He also taught power plant operations for many years.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by Easly-Hindman Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Hastings.
