Sharon (Horn) Adams

Sharon (Horn) Adams, 78, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Sept. 14, 2021, at UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio, the daughter of William Dale and Betty Jane (Young) Horn.
Sharon was the daughter of an Army airman and grew up in multiple parts of the country while her father was actively serving. She attended college at Ohio State University and moved to Altoona in the 1970s to begin her career.
She was a dedicated fan of the Ohio State University football team and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Sharon was a wonderful cook and took great pleasure in cooking for her loved ones.
She enjoyed reading, crafting (designing bracelets and creating intricate decorative boxes) and was an avid letter writer. She loved collecting beautiful note cards and stationery to write letters to her closest family and friends.
Above all else, Sharon’s greatest passion was being a loving mother and loyal friend. She was selfless, sincere and incredibly kind. Those who knew her and loved her will miss her dearly.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Emily Adams.
