Mona E. (Horton) Bouslough

Oct. 20, 1936 – Sept. 18, 2021

Mona E. (Horton) Bouslough, 84, Roaring Spring, went home to be with the Lord Saturday morning at home after an extended illness.

She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Walter and Charlotte “Lottie” (Koontz) Horton. On Jan. 10, 1956, she married Harry D. Bouslough in Winchester, Va. He died Oct. 7, 2019.

Surviving is a daughter, Linda L. Swope and husband, Arthur, of Martinsburg; five grandchildren: Mandie Wright (Bill), Jason Swope, Fred Swope, Brent Musselman and Bradley Musselman; and three great-grandchildren: Anthony Wright, Isaac Wright and Bill Wright Jr.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Musselman; three brothers: Lloyd, Bruce and Curt; and two sisters: Betty and Faye.

Mona was a graduate of Morrison Cove High School and retired from the Roaring Spring Blank Book Company with over 20 years of service.

She enjoyed photography, looking for antiques with her husband and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, 2021, in Diehl’s Crossroads Cemetery by Pastor Eric Poteat.
