Larry E. Hammaker

Sept. 27, 1965 – July 18, 2021

Larry E. Hammaker, 55, Duncansville, died Sunday evening at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh following an extended illness. He was born in Altoona, a son of the late Edward H. and Shirley M. (Cox) Hammaker.

He married Theresa A. “Terri” Beam on Oct. 17, 1992, in Altoona.

Surviving are his wife, Terri; three siblings: Vicki Steinbugl (Dennis) of Duncansville, Charles Hammaker (Donna) of Huntingdon and Paula Jean “PJ” Caputo (Paul) of Hollidaysburg; eight nieces, including a special niece, Michele; four nephews; two great-nieces; three great-nephews; a great-great-niece; two great-great-nephews; four brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; and his mother-in-law, Donna Beam of Duncansville.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, John Beam.

Larry was a 1983 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School. He was a driver for Health-Ride for several years and previously worked with his father at their family’s fencing business.

He was a collector of wolf items and liked tinkering with small engines. Larry previously enjoyed bowling.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2021, at the Hollidaysburg American Legion Park, at Pavilion #2.
