George Henry Weber

June 10, 1966 – June 7, 2021

George Henry Weber, 54, China, Maine, formerly of Altoona, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, at Maine Medical Center in Portland. George was born in Altoona, the son of Harry and Connie (Winskey) Weber Jr.

He graduated from Altoona Area High School with the class of 1984 and received his BA from the University of Phoenix in 2018.

George proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps (Desert Storm) and the United States Reserves (Iraqi Freedom). He was a Purple Heart recipient.

Being service oriented, he could never seem to give enough of himself to others. He belonged to both the China Rescue and Weeks Mill Fire Station and was also a faithful member of Central Church, serving both the Augusta and China Campuses by leading Bible Studies and being part of the Response Team. He also enjoyed belonging to the Patriot Riders of Maine Chapter 3. Some of his greatest passions were serving Jesus, helping the community, his fellow veterans, and the homeless.

George was a quiet, gentle giant. He was very giving, gracious, and was willing to help anyone in need. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, and brother. His death has left a huge hole in the hearts of those who loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Connie Weber of Altoona; four daughters: Kadee Bard (Cody) of Greencastle, Leah Weber (Nikki) of Chambersburg, Sara Weber of Christiansburg, Va., and Erica Weber of China, Maine; a granddaughter, Ella Bard; siblings: Richard (Angela) Weber of Altoona, Carl Weber (Corena) of Clarksville, Tenn., and Wendy Roush of Altoona; and nieces and nephews.

George was predeceased by his father, Harry Weber Jr.; a brother, Harry Weber III; and an infant son, Matthew Weber.
